Class Schedule: Intentional Art
n case you missed the April series...
I am happy to announce an opportunity for you to work like I work. I love to take an idea and expand on it through variations over a period of time. I find this process to be very fulfilling and highly creative, freeing and pleasurable. I want my students to experience this for themselves. Support your soul and enrich your spirit by expanding your vision over time. I am offering a unique series of art classes that are designed to enable you to maximize your creative experience by building on your skills from week to week. Add a new skill set each week as you grow in an upbeat, supportive environment. If you are unable to commit for all 4 weeks, please join us anyways, as each class can also stand alone for a more condensed art experience.
Where: All classes are held at Migun-TN (in Farragut by Fresh Market) on Wednesdays from 11-1.
Classes:
Mandalas 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 5/27
Price: $35 per class
Special: $25 per class when you register with a friend or when you register and prepay for 4 sessions.
E-mail me at Bailey@BaileyFiberArt.com to register.
If you are unable to attend at this day/time, let me know your preference and I will look into adding a new day/time based on your suggestions. Thanks!

Special needs artists and homeless animals link causes
I always encourge my special needs artists, young and old, to give back to the community. I believe everyone has something to offer others. And of course the joy of giving comes back to you tenfold. I found out about this wonderful program! Bailey

The Michigan Animal Adoption Network will be on hand at the Birmingham Palladium, with a few of its adopted dogs, too. It will announce a partnership with Art for a Cause and both organizations will distribute information about helping animals and children..."

DVD helps kids with autism recognize emotions

LONDON — It wasn't until Jude met Jenny that the 3-year-old autistic boy understood what happy people look like.
Jenny, a green trolley car with a human face, had a furrowed brow when her wheel buckled and she got stuck on a track. But after being rescued by friends, she smiled broadly - and that's when something clicked for little Jude Baines.
"It was revelatory," his mother, Caron Freeborn, told Associated Press Television News in Cambridge, England. Before watching the video, Jude didn't understand what emotions were and never noticed the expressions on people's faces, even those of his parents or younger brother.
Jenny's adventures are part of a DVD for autistic children released this month in the United States called "The Transporters."
The DVD teaches autistic children how to recognize emotions such as happiness, and sadness through the exploits of a train, a ferry and a cable car....
